Softube has announced the release of their latest reverb plugin, Dimensions, just in time for NAMM 2025. This new plugin offers six distinct reverb algorithms designed to meet a wide range of production needs. Here’s what we know so far:

A Closer Look at the Features

The Dimensions plugin brings together a curated selection of reverb types, including:

  • Spring and Plate reverbs, which deliver mechanical and vintage-inspired tones.
  • Concert Hall and Cathedral, providing larger-than-life spaces.
  • Room, for natural and intimate reflections.
  • Random Hall, known for its spatial characteristics that help blend sources seamlessly into a mix.

These algorithms aim to cover the essentials for audio professionals, whether working on music, film, or other sound design projects.

Added Functionality: Shimmer and Visual Feedback

One standout feature of Dimensions is its built-in Shimmer effect, which can transform any reverb algorithm into an ambient shimmer reverb. This addition expands the creative potential of the plugin, making it suitable for ethereal and experimental applications.

Another unique aspect is the Reverb Tail Visualizer. Inspired by visual designs from both vintage sampler workstations and iconic album art, this feature provides a graphical representation of the reverb tail. Users can see their adjustments in real time, offering an intuitive way to shape the sound.

Presets and Controls

Dimensions comes with a comprehensive set of presets, catering to a variety of production scenarios. Key adjustable parameters include Time, Dry/Wet mix, Dark/Bright tonality, and Predelay, allowing users to tailor the reverb to their specific needs.

Availability

The Dimensions plugin is now available via Softube’s website. For more details, including pricing and compatibility, visit softube.com.

Whether you’re looking for classic reverb tones or creative sound design options, Dimensions appears to offer a versatile toolset for audio professionals. Keep an eye out for reviews and real-world applications as the plugin enters the market.
